Management Solutions participates in the UCM Modeling Week

Management Solutions has once again participated in Modeling Week, an event organized by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) for students of the Master's Degree in Data Science. The initiative aims to promote the use of mathematical techniques and models to solve real-world problems across various industry sectors

In this edition, Management Solutions proposed a practical challenge with a high social impact, focused on the field of health, aimed at designing an AI assistant capable of supporting clinical decision-making in the treatment of rare diseases. The case study involved developing a solution based on generative AI techniques with the aim of integrating multiple sources of information (medical records, clinical trial records, and scientific literature) to provide personalized, justified, and understandable answers to medical staff. 

In addition to the algorithmic challenge, the project required participants to build an ethical, reproducible, and traceable architecture, applying good software engineering practices such as containers, testing, continuous integration, and monitoring. Fundamental issues such as bias, privacy, and data security in high-risk contexts were also addressed.

Throughout the week, the students were supported and supervised by professionals from Management Solutions, who guided them in both the technical and methodological aspects of the case. At the end of the event, UCM reiterated its gratitude to Management Solutions for its ongoing collaboration in Modeling Week and its commitment to the practical training of future professionals in the field of mathematics and technology.
