Presentation of the report “Financial Health: A Shared Value Approach for the Financial Sector”

The Social Impact Chair at Comillas Pontifical University presented the report “Financial Health: A Shared Value Approach for the Financial Sector,” jointly prepared by the Chair at Comillas Pontifical University and Management Solutions, at an event attended by Ms. Alejandra Kindelán, President of AEB; Mr. Carlos Ballesteros, Director of the Social Impact Chair; and Ms. Soledad Díaz-Noriega, Partner at Management Solutions

During the presentation, held at Comillas Pontifical University with more than 100 attendees, Ms. Alejandra Kindelán, President of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and author of the report’s foreword, Mr. Carlos Ballesteros, Director of the Social Impact Chair, and Ms. Soledad Díaz-Noriega, Partner at Management Solutions, discussed the main aspects of a report that analyzes how banks can contribute to social and economic well-being through inclusive products, financial education, and rigorous impact measurement. The event was opened by Mr. Javier Márquez, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Comillas Pontifical University.

The document, jointly prepared by the Social Impact Chair at Comillas Pontifical University and Management Solutions, included direct collaboration from leading financial sector entities (BBVA, Banco Pichincha, CaixaBank, Cajamar, Fiare Banca Etica, GAWA Capital, Íkualo, ING Spain, MAPFRE, MicroBank, Laboral Kutxa, Oikocredit, Sabadell, Santander, and Unicaja). The report outlines the main challenges and limitations to advancing financial inclusion and financial health, as well as best practices and concrete proposals for adapting products, services, and processes. It also presents support strategies to improve clients’ financial health and reviews different frameworks and impact measurement methodologies, including practical indicators to assess progress in inclusion, resilience, and financial well-being.
