Risks and challenges of projects under development and conclusions on public financing provided by the EHB

With the aim of analyzing the current context of the green hydrogen market, the Chair of Hydrogen Studies at Comillas Pontifical University—of which Management Solutions is a founding member—organized an event attended by more than 60 professionals from the sector. The session featured David Coca, partner at the Firm, as speaker and moderator

During the meeting, held at the ICADE headquarters, David Coca delved into the current situation of the green hydrogen market and the main risks facing projects under development. He also explained the origin and design of the Innovation Fund (IF) financing mechanism and presented the most relevant conclusions of the second European Hydrogen Bank (EHB) auction, along with the main developments of the third call for proposals. This session was attended by CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency), the European Commission body responsible for managing funding programs in the fields of transport, energy, and climate innovation.

This was followed by a round table discussion with representatives from AccionaPlug, Moeve, and CINEA. The discussion analyzed the technical and economic challenges faced by developers, as well as the terms and conditions of the auctions that have the greatest impact on project evaluation, selection, and acceptance processes.
