Financial health: a shared value approach for the financial sector

Ahead of the public presentation of the report “Financial Health: A Shared Value Approach for the Financial Sector" , the Social Impact Chair at Universidad Pontificia Comillas organized an institutional working breakfast, where representatives from leading financial organizations were able to explore the main findings of the document, prepared by the Chair in collaboration with Management Solutions and numerous industry entities

The document was jointly prepared by the Chair of Social Impact at Comillas Pontifical University and Management Solutions, with the direct collaboration of leading entities from the financial sector including BBVA, Banco Pichincha, CaixaBank, Cajamar, Fiare Banca Etica, GAWA Capital, Íkualo, ING Spain, MAPFRE, MicroBank, Laboral Kutxa, Oikocredit, Sabadell, Santander, and Unicaja. The report, that will soon be available on the Chair's website, also features a foreword by Ms. Alejandra Kindelán, president of the Spanish Banking Association. 

During the event, Mr. Carlos Ballesteros, director of the Chair, and Ms. Soledad Díaz-Noriega, partner at Management Solutions, presented the key messages in the report​, which offers a vision for strengthening the role of the financial sector as an agent of social transformation through effective strategies to promote inclusion and financial health. 

The Chair´s mission is to promote a culture of measuring and managing social impact through academic rigor. Its vision is to be a leading reference in Spain on issues related to social impact measurement and management, with the participation of the Mapfre Observatory of Sustainable Finance, Open Value Foundation, Repsol Foundation, Redeia, Acciona, and Management Solutions. 

The team that drafted the study includes members of Comillas-ICADE (Ms. Carmen Pérez Sánchez, Mr. Carlos Ballesteros García, and Ms. Bárbara Calderón Gómez-Tejedor) and Management Solutions (Ms. Soledad Díaz-Noriega Suárez and Ms. Lucía Lopez Lamata).
