Management Solutions was one of the sponsors of the 33rd Mexican Insurers' Convention, the most important event on trends in the Mexican insurance industry, organized by AMIS (Mexican Association of Insurance Institutions)
The event was attended by representatives of the entire insurance industry (insurers, regulators, consultants, reinsurers, brokers, agent associations, etc.). Under the title "Insuring a changing world", the conference focused on financial inclusion in insurance, evolving trends in insurance design and the role of insurance in the current economic situation.
Marcos Fernández and Efrén Hernández, partners at the Firm, gave a presentation on "Changes in Climate Change Risk Management and their Impact on Underwriting and Products", in which they analyzed the main climate risks faced by insurance companies, as well as the methodologies for measuring transition and physical risks under different climate scenarios and their incorporation in the ORSA. They also discussed the product, service and underwriting practices that companies are using to take advantage of the opportunities and mitigate the risks posed by climate change and, more broadly, sustainability.
