Management Solutions participated in the 9th International Actuarial Symposium, organized by the Colombian Association of Actuaries, which brought together professionals and representatives from insurance companies, consulting firms, technology companies, universities, and other organizations across the sector
At this year's event, Management Solutions presented the talk “Lessons from the Front Lines: IFRS 17 Three Years Later in Europe," delivered by Matías Cajiao, Partner at the Firm.
During his presentation, Matías Cajiao analyzed the experience of European insurers after three years of implementing IFRS 17, addressing topics such as the standard's impact on financial statements volatility, financial closing deadlines, and the metrics used to measure financial performance. He also shared the key measures adopted to manage volatility and stabilize calculation and accounting processes, along with the main challenges encountered during implementation, offering practical lessons of particular interest to Colombian insurers preparing for their transition to IFRS 17.
The Symposium brought together national and international experts to analyze the main challenges and trends in the actuarial profession and the insurance sector.
